Reviews of Blue Wave on Trip Advisor:

Blue Wave excellence: There's a lot to like about the Blue Wave Inn. It's oh so modern. Outside is a strikingly modern building design. Inside is all angles, curves, ledges, colors, accents, designed lighting, glass, metal, soft music, and much more. And then there are the rooms! My,my. Somebody knew what they were doing when they went about creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. For instance, with the high ceiling (in #4) they cleverly placed objects d'art above the walls on ledges along with accent lighting. Everywhere you look there are small details well thought out. The kind that just make you smile at the thoughtfulness. So couple all this well thought out creativeness with an attentive staff, a great view, an uncommon breakfast tastefully done and you've got the makings of a most distinctive Inn.”

Fabulous, stunning.. superior stay right on Lake Superior: One of the best, if not the best ever in many years of road trips. Fabulous room w deck right on Lake Superior. Most comfortable bed ever slept in. Completely updated throughout w super shower w water falling on you from 12 feet high. Top line linens and toiletries. Lovely breakfast room for hotel guests only w all windows on lake. Excellent accomodating staff. If in the area, do not miss this place.”

Amazing building desgin on the edge of Lake Superior: This has to be the best designed and furnished place to stay on Lake Superior. Stunning exterior and interior design with fantastic views of the lake from every perspective. Rooms have all the finest touches and furnishings, lots of windows and outdoor patios. There is a place for renting kayaks, bikes and other outdoor gear on the premises. A bike path and beach is the only thing separating the building from the waters of Lake Superior. Room comes with a great homemade breakfast in a glass enclosed private dining area. A must stop when traveling in the Ashland/Bayfield area.”

Best find ever!: From the moment we walked into the coffee shop to check in....I was in love. This charming hotel is a true gem. Attentive service, breathtaking rooms, a bakery, cafe, coffee shop all rolled into one! And they serve beer. The views, the bedding and the special touches all went above and beyond. I will be back!”

The Best Place To Stay In Ashland: I stayed in room #4. Here are some reasons why this place is awesome:
-Huge clean room. Not your normal hotel box room, but vaulted ceilings, interesting architectural details, feels like a suite.
-Beautiful private balcony. I woke up to the sunrise over the lake. Magic!
-Lovely two head shower so you can feel like you are in a rainforest spring shower while bathing.
-Overall one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. Love it!”

Perfection Achieved: We regularly visit Ashland, Washburn, and Bayfield. This inn is just right for us. Contemporary decor, amazing lake views, thoughtful amenities, super clean and comfortable. Generous open space and imaginative design. Best bed of any place I’ve stayed. We will certainly be back and will recommend to our fellow area travelers. Thanks!”

Best place to stay in Ashland!": Really awesome rooms with a perfect view of the lake. Attached coffee shop/restaurant is a perfect way to start or end the day. The building is just an amazing design that captures the wonderful view everywhere!”

A Gem!: We had a lovely stay here at the Blue Wave Inn. It was charming and a true little gem. The room was perfect for us- clean and comfortable with a great view. Also had a great breakfast at the restaurant. 5 stars.”

Perfect: This place is just great. Excellent location, wonderful room, great restaurant. We stayed in #2; the room was immaculate, super comfy bed, huge shower, lovely balcony. There are some Adirondack chairs down by the water so I got a (totally delish) mojito and enjoyed the sunshine. Later on we went in and ordered some apps, try the bacon wrapped dates, yum. Once the sun set we went in by the bar to watch the end of the Cubs game, and since it was a pretty quiet Sunday evening, the bartender and manager spent some time chatting with us, which we really enjoyed. Drinks are good and fair priced for a hotel bar, all the apps we tried were great, and the service was perfect. What more could you ask for? We can't wait to come back and stay longer!”

Love, love, love it! Have visited Ashland several times over the years for business. This was my first stay at this property...and what a special experience!!! The rooms are huge, super clean and with lots of amenities! The balcony and views of Lake Superior are also incredible. I travel for a living and this place is a gem! This is a unique property with amazing details. Highly recommend a stay here!”
